Short Breaks & Respite Care

Delivering Stockport Council-contracted short break placements that give carers vital rest, while enriching the lives of the adults we support.

Short Breaks (also known as respite care) are essential planned or emergency stays away from the family home. They benefit both the carer — who receives a crucial period of rest — and the individual, who enjoys new experiences, social connections, and independence in a safe, supported environment. Spring Forth Health Care holds a contract with Stockport Council Adult Social Care to deliver Short Breaks services for adults.

Talk to us →
Home care is a service that provides various forms of assistance and support to individuals in their own homes. It encompasses personal care, medical assistance, and companionship — all aimed at helping people maintain their independence and well-being in a familiar environment.
You may need care when facing challenges with daily activities due to age, illness, disability, or recovery from surgery. Care can be required at any stage of life when assistance with tasks such as bathing, dressing, medication management, or household chores becomes necessary.
Short breaks are planned or emergency stays where the person we support stays with us for a short period, giving their primary carer a much-needed rest. We work closely with local authorities and families to arrange referrals, complete pre-placement assessments, and develop person-centred activity plans for every stay.
Yes. Spring Forth Health Care is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has been rated Good. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety across all our services.
Start by assessing your specific needs and preferences. Then contact us — our team will arrange an initial consultation, carry out a thorough assessment, and develop a bespoke, co-produced support plan tailored entirely to you. We involve you and your family throughout every step of the process.
Yes. We hold a local authority contract for Short Breaks services and work directly with commissioners, social workers, and care managers. If you are a commissioner or professional seeking a reliable, CQC-rated provider, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Spring Forth Health Care is based in Moreton, Wirral, and delivers services across the Northwest of England — including Wirral, Merseyside, Cheshire, and Stockport. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, please get in touch and we'll be happy to advise.
Every support plan at Spring Forth is co-produced with the individual and their family. We start with a thorough assessment of needs, goals, preferences and daily routines. The plan is then built around what matters most to the person — not a standard template. Plans are reviewed regularly and updated as needs change.
Yes. All Spring Forth staff complete a structured induction programme covering safeguarding, manual handling, medication awareness, and our values. Staff hold or are working towards relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care. Specialist roles such as nursing carry the appropriate professional registrations. We invest in ongoing training and development for every member of our team.
We take all concerns seriously and operate a clear complaints procedure. In the first instance, please contact us directly at springforth12@gmail.com or call 0151 216 8688 and ask to speak with a manager. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within two working days and resolve them within 20 working days. If you remain unsatisfied, you can escalate your complaint to the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We do our best to match individuals with care workers based on compatibility, shared interests and communication style. We understand that consistency is important and we aim to provide a regular team of staff wherever possible. If you have preferences or concerns about your allocated worker, please speak to your care coordinator and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Yes. Spring Forth Health Care specialises in supporting individuals with complex and multiple needs, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health conditions, and challenging behaviour. Our staff receive specialist training to ensure every person receives safe, effective, and dignified support regardless of the complexity of their needs.
Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Our on-call team is available outside of office hours to respond to any urgent needs or concerns. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, but care delivery and on-call support continues around the clock.
We take data protection seriously and operate in full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Personal and medical information is stored securely and only shared with those directly involved in your care on a need-to-know basis. We never share your information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
Domiciliary care involves scheduled visits to your home to assist with daily tasks — such as personal care, medication, and meal preparation — while you continue to live independently. Supported living provides a more intensive level of support, often in a shared or individual property, where staff are present for longer periods to help you manage your daily life and pursue your goals. Both services are fully personalised to the individual.
